Let's taste the achievements of our students in their respective school communities during the 2013-2014 school year. GEEO as an educational services company, offers participating public and private schools Transformation Workshops to teachers, parents and students. During the school year, tutoring is offered during extended school hours culminating with the Occupational Exploration Summer Camp. In addition, mentoring and coaching services are offered to principals, teachers and student services personnel.

Piaget Bilingual Academy

The pre-test and post-test used at Piaget Bilingual Academy was the Novotek Test. According to the test results there was an increase in all academic areas. Spanish reflected an increase of 8.68, Math reflected an increase of 7.46, and English reflected an increase of 13.38. Teachers were offered several workshops including the topics of Neuroscience, Teamwork and Problem Based Learning for better academic achievement and Using data in academic planning to improve student achievement. During the month of June, the Summer of Occupational Exploration was offered reinforcing English, Spanish and Mathematics while learning about occupational fields in Agriculture and Robotics. A total of 140 students from first through eleventh grade participated during 15 school days.

Ramón Power y Giralt

Ramón Power y Giralt (RPG) For ten consecutive years was in the Improvement Plan. Student participation in the Pruebas Puertorriqueñas (PPAA) did not reach the minimum required rate. The academic performance of students in the PPAA was deficient particularly in the subject of Mathematics, with results of 0% Proficient and Advanced in the PPAA. During the 2013-14 year, 33% Proficient and Advanced in Mathematics were obtained in RPG. The participation rate was achieved in all subjects by encouraging students and involving the community of parents, family members and neighbors in the process. In the same year, the Science subject obtained an increase of 11% in the same parameters and in the English subject there was an increase of 9%. In the last PPAA administration, there was an increase in the same parameters in the English and Science subjects. The participation rate was 99%. All of the above is evidence that there was adequate treatment that was beginning to show the results expected in a school in transformation. The Ramón Power y Giralt School created five alliances aimed at collaborating with the integration process of fine arts, sports and the transition from high school to college. Extended instructional time and summer programs were developed that integrated academics with vocational and post-secondary interests. Professional development activities were conducted with the principal, teachers, support staff and parents. Professional development was offered in areas such as: instructional planning, innovative classroom strategies, data analysis process from diagnostics to PPAA, integration of technology in the classroom, working effectively with parents, differentiated education and inclusive education among many other offerings.

Rosalina Caraballo Martínez School

In this year, the school presented a significant increase in student enrollment by 21%. There was 98% student participation in the PPAA. In academic achievement, students obtained an increase in A, B and C in the subjects of Spanish, Mathematics and English. Teachers participated in the residential Multidisciplinary strategies and uses of data for the sustainability of the 21st Century transformation. Students participated in tutoring during Extended School Time culminating with the Occupational Exploration Summer Camp. Parents actively participated in the School's CREMPE Committee.
